  • Sessions are $150 for 45-50 minute appointments.

  • GUIDANCE accepts both Aetna and Cigna.

    We also accept self pay, and provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you you have an out of network benefit.

  • Yes. However, as with everything in life, there are some caveats that are safety related. These exceptions are required by law and supercede HIPAA.

    • ALL licensed therapists (as well as other medical professionals have a duty to warn if someone is threatening harm to another person.

    • We are all also mandated reporters, meaning that we have to by law report child abuse and elder abuse. Some states have Domestic Violence reporting laws.

    • If you are a danger to yourself, the therapist should safety plan with you, but may need to report and have a safety check done to assure safety.

  • No. Most people start therapy because of something on their mind in order to work through it. A fair percentage of adults are feeling “stuck” in some area of their lives and want to be able to process those feelings. Others have life transitions or other events going on. There is a lot in life that we are not taught about or prepared for!

    If you do find yourself in an immediate crisis, 988 is available 24 hours a day.

  • Most major Credit Cards. When you start, one will be placed on file for your appointments.

  • Consistency is very important to the therapeutic process.

    If you need to cancel or re-schedule a session, please provide at least 24-48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed appointments—will be subject to the full session fee. Please note that insurance does not cover missed appointments.

    Life sometimes ‘lifes’, so we always do our best to be flexible in cases of emergency or illness.
